This somewhat isolated page is waiting for the new photos of the 05-06 ice towers, when more water freezes in the far frozen north.

For those inquiring, the artist's email address is dredge2 at gci.net , written that way to thwart the spam email address programs looking for more email addresses. The spammers are getting almost as bad as government.
6 March. The dog sled with Jessica Aulik's photos finally got through, after having to go all the way up to a satellite and back, just to get across town, along with an RPG photo conversion, or something like that, and a serious chit-chat with the server email program, about 2MB stuck in a KB trap. She has more than these 4 photos, but the dog team could only get so many MB's into orbit and back.
After doing the camera thing, she climbed a route on the harder part that the other two of us only rappelled down.
We finally got a climber on the ice, who owns clothes with a little color, but he had to sew them himself, on account as the commercial ones with color cost too much for real climbers. And I have seen that guy's clothes. He needs to get close to the sewing machine again. I still have not figured out how he gets crampon rips in his jacket elbows.
Normal people do not walk into the mouth of a creature with fangs larger than people.

Hey, there aint enough rhetoric for the available space here. I can solve that. One person commenting on these web pages had the unmitigated audacity to suggest that the comments about our dear and benevolent friends who have fallen victim to government jobs, detract from this website, if you can imagine such an outrage.
Now look here, if you want some highly useful knowledge. The reason there are not more beautiful human-made things in the world, and not more useful things and knowledge available to you and the rest of society, is because government dolts, of every government throughout human history, especially the perfidious swine in Washington DC, have used armed force to maliciously seize the fruits of the labor of the diverse and otherwise productive people, to increasingly reduce that wealth down to the inherently counter productive results of using force, inherently creating more police-state defense and process of using more force against people.
The productivity of diversely thinking people is reduced to the laughably idiot decisions of a few mental midgets (government thugs) forcing more government stagnation onto society. If you want to advance the inherent benefits of human thinking, for yourself and others, would you fee the people (you) to do as they wish with THEIR thinking and labor, creating their incentive to think and work more, or would you seize the results of their effort, by force, to destroy their incentive to work, and give that wealth to the inherently corrupt government idiots who create wars, destruction, war industries, police-states, waste, incompetency, inefficiency, centralized control, self-flattery, self-benefiting, and who kill to prevent any efficiency-improving competition to everything government usurps?
What is your answer? Write it, to derive its utility for your mind.
Over half the Americans now derive their income from their thus doomed government, perhaps including the chap who was not enamored with truthful comments about government. That means that less than half the Americans are supporting the larger half using government force and threats of prison, an insatiable process used to seize yet more with the increasing power created by seizing more. How much will you produce if I offer to trade you the things I produce, that you might want? How much will you produce if Neanderthal government thugs seize what you produce, and threaten you with prison if you object? The intellectually absent American government dolts and their gullible, unquestioning supporters, literally cannot answer those two questions, or any other questions that illuminate their void of thinking, or they would be thinking and thus able to answer questions.
Adding all the many forms of taxation in America, Americans pay over 80% of their income, in taxes, for more centralized government power used to create more taxes for more government power. If government dolts produced what people wanted, as those idiots fool themselves into believing, why would government have to use force to seize the money to pay for it? If force is sustainable, why not shop with a gun rather than the money you derived from people willingly purchasing the products of your labor? Were not all things, services and knowledge that genuinely benefit you, the result of willing decisions and free competition to produce better products and services?
You can climb in the remnants of Alaska's fee mountains, and learn the inordinately useful knowledge the mountains have to offer. But if you climb in the National Park Service Gulags that were previously public property rather than government property, among the arrays of mandatory kowtowing to intellectually embarrassing Park Service Pigs, for various areas, you must first pay a $200 climbing tax, to pay the armed Park Pigs who are only there to arrest the climbers who do not pay the Park Pigs. It is raw force for no useful service, defining the doomed Washington DC government and its mental midget American minions.
And then the laughably dumb Park Pigs parrot their memorized lies if you ask them any questions, because they are too stupid (hired for that quality), to have first asked questions of the glaring lies fed to them by their idiot supervisors who were promoted from among the most loyal and least questioning (least thinking / most dumb) of the previous Park Pigs. Can a person be lawfully charged a tax or fee, or be required to get permission, to exercise a right, such as the right to walk on their own public property? Not even one of the pitiable victims of National Park Service employment has sufficiently developed their cranial goo to answer that simple question, even though the answer is contained within the definition of a right, and additionally stated in blunt language by the US Supreme Court, as well as within even the most rudimentary human reasoning. Pity the National Park Service rangers and other victims of government employment, who do not get fired within the first year, or who get promoted, to prove to the world their intellectual void. You might recognize from these words the extent of effort required to recover one's thinking ability after having befallen government training for any period of time, including that of the government's public school teachers who never effectively question the glaring contradictions created by government dolts.
There are more such outrageous comments, daring to chip the pedestal of the intellectually void government dolts of every government in human history, and their legions of highly titled experts, enraging their useless minds, among certain other knowledge of inordinate utility, on the Climbing Concepts pages of this website, at Think.ws, AlaskaStories.com, and some of their links.
If you are not laughing yourself to tears at these humans who so enthusiastically surrender their otherwise common sense decisions to the government Neanderthals who ask the least questions and thus represent the dregs of human ignorance, you are missing the only show they know how to stage, except for our spectacular ice tower show....

Growing slow with a bit more freezing at night than melting in the afternoon sun.
The middle photo is by Gary Donofrio, a local climber who was driving by just when the, ah, GPS navigation guidance activation system was ignited.
Real webmasters with serious websites would not be impressed, but dis here little website am now gettin a quarter (1/4) million hits per day (250,000). Hey youse guys, stop wasting your time with dis stuff, and get back to the task of overthrowing your stinkin governments, all of dem.
If you don't, the feds gonna find a way to tax ice back to water, and then tax the water into vapor, and the vapor into the ozone, so they can get more money for wars, highly titled experts on wars, and gaggles of over-paid bureaucrats spewing words of less utility to society than those you are reading, and then the global warming folks will wish they had done something sooner, or something like that.
Wait.... That 250,000 was yesterday. Today it is 360,000 hits per day. Somebody counsel these folks. There are too many computers out there.
Wait again..... That 360,000 was before the Every Thursday Night Barbecue At Dick Flaharty's (Apocalypse Design main guy). Now it is 425,000, and I had to increase the bandwidth thing. I used a screwdriver and crescent wrench, with a couple inches of duct tape.
If even one of those fine folks easily learned Intellectual Technology, albeit with a bit of patience, who did not waste her or his time gawking at websites like this one, or worse, making them, and then retained any incentive to manifest the solutions to seemingly complex, yet laughably simple, social problems, instead of just laughing themselves to tears at these humans, odd lot that they are, the best comedy on the rock, they would promptly regain the free exercise of all human rights from the intellectually moribund gangs of armed government thugs, wars would be history, and rhetoric like this would not impair perfectly good pixels otherwise available for pictures of ice.
Or so I might imagine.
11 March Ice Report: The ice is holding its own at 151 feet high, with the aid of freezing nights, against the global warming sun during the day. Some more warm days are predicted, but we sent Guido and Max after the weather forecaster, to change the forecast. We will report on Guido and Max's progress as it progresses. The Snowman at AlaskaStories is not doing as well as the Ghost Raven, because the Snowman lives on the south side of the hill.
